Work-Related Stress: Tools, Training and Resources

Welcome to The Stress Site!
It's great to have you here and I hope you find what you're looking for. If not, please contact me, Alan Bradshaw - that's me there on the right and you find a bio on the About page.
The Stress Site is 10 years old now and I'm taking a chunk of time to totally restructure what you can find and access here, especially around stress management tools (including those focused more widely on workplace mental health), training and resources. Thanks so much for your patience while I make these changes!
In recent years, I've been incredibly busy in my day-job as a business psychologist and consultant, working with organisations such as the UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE), easyJet and BAE Systems, supporting their efforts to prevent and reduce stress and promote mental health awareness. Much of that work has been developing and delivering training for managers and providing consultancy to large organisations (and I still do some of that - see my Services pages). But the way I work is changing, and I now want to make all my work available to the widest possible audience. I want you to be able to use my stuff, so that you can make a difference where you work, whether you're a consultant, HR or SHE professional, manager or employee.
Here's what I'm doing:
- Firstly, I'm developing a new training site on Thinkific so you can access all my stress management training courses and stress risk management tools online. That will site will include both free / low cost courses, in-depth training, and train-the-trainer for those who wish to be licensed to deliver the training to others. Ultimately, all my training will be available there. This may also enable me to provide remote coaching for those who want expert feedback and support in using the tools.
- Secondly, I'm updating and restructuring all the content on this site. There will be a mix of free content available to everyone and premium content aimed at professionals and consultants. For now though, all content on this site is free to access while I reconfigure the site. Over the years, it's become a mission of mine, maybe even an obsession, to spread knowledge of best practice in stress management. I've built up what I call a "Stress Management Super-Resource", a vast library of the best (and sometimes hard-to-find) stress management tools and resources. I'm adding to this library of resources all the time.
- Thirdly, I'll be blogging more about work-related stress and mental health. The world of work is changing rapidly - how / when we work, what we do, where we do it, and even the 'why' of work. This has risk implications for our mental health and wellbeing, positive and negative. There are a number of stress issues and wellbeing trends I'm particularly interested in. Examples include: the massive growth in remote and lone working (a huge challenge for managers and I'm developing some training on that right now); the ageing workforce; the mental health risks for apprentices and younger employees, and; the stress risks faced by those involved in social care. I'll be putting resources linked to all these issues on this site.
If you'd like to link up with me via social media, you're very welcome. My social media links are at the very top right of this and every other web page.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you find the website useful and I look forward to connecting with you.
